The general rule is that you, as the person driving behind another vehicle, should have left ample room between you and the car in front of you. If they get hit by a falling meteor and that car in front of you doesn't move, you should be able to stop and avoid it. Don't shoot the messenger.....but it's a basic law there. This guy will not walk away without having to cover some damage to his car and the truck. The insurance company may cover it with a smile on their face, cause they are going to raise your rates through the roof when your policy comes up next.
